From young age I have had close association with religious followers be it Hindu sadhus and saints, Jain Muni’s, Boudh sadhu’s, maulvi’s. As time moved I have been close to Naga’s, Avadhuta’s, Aghori’s, Aaughars. Having gone through many traditions and also gaining and sharing with many people, I have felt that more closer you come to them the mysticism vanishes and it leaves many of them quite weak for even a normal person to see. I have seen them missing there past , family and friends, even children though they find no way to turn back the time for the conditions have held them bound to the current life. But they were still trying to find what they began to look from beginning. My journey has led me to meet many pseudo and fake religious people. They have either criminal background or they ran away from village on petty things and events, and many have joined the religious groups to mint money, name, fame or some even start their own groups to work on the levels of deceit, fraud, and perverse gratification. The avenues become big and global on social networking sites, and religious congregation where half baked knowledge is passed on to gullible seekers of truth. Many seekers look for gaining magical, mystical powers by doing certain tantric kriya, but if the seeker is not clear and open about what real Tantra means, they would be losing many things including life too. Many seekers of truth fall for big words, terms, miracles and then they are swindled of money, self respect, property and much more. Seekers of truth have to be clear and should be aware when they meet such any religious teachers. If the religious person is creating fear for monetary benefits or for extracting perverse gratification be Aware. The learning from the lineage and walking the path of knowing allows the religious teachers to be open, clear, transparent and also receptive to change. Many of the religious groups truly show the traditional approach of learning, those following the path may gain some religious benefits in terms of riddhies or siddhies. But the crucial element for all seekers of truth is to hold on to their intelligence, freewill, and inner consciousness while having enough openness within the self to judge and work through the depths of learning. Be ready to drop your conditiond assumptions and restrictions once you gain a true and proper explanation for acceptance or rejection of them . Once you become aware of experience through self and are in a position to comprehend the knowledge within it you are on the right path learning and gaining from the right guide, teacher, master. Once your acceptance emerges continue delving deep till you reach your realistic goal you sought. – Maitreya Rudrabhayananda
