The whole of human psyche moves through four ‘Ism’ phases optimism, pessimism, realism, spiritualism. The first two optimism and pessimism have been the main factor for control, power, ego, authority with least importance for responsibility and accountability. Power and control boosts ego to take authority to over rule. But with realism one understands the beauty of responsibility and accountability that goes with control or power or authority thus slowly giving ego a touch of love, care and compassion. Spiritualism is a rare ‘ism’ for when realism reaches the subtlest level of acceptance then responsibility and accountability remains not only with life but it becomes life itself, wherein the ego is about being alive not just living a life itself. – Maitreya Rudrabhayananda
