Swami Advitiyananda ji- Anuja

A beautiful event in the life of Ācharyagüru Swami Shri Chidananda Bharati ji. Something perfect for holy day of Guru purnima. This event happened at Chitrakoot ( Madhya Pradesh), 1991, here lot of people used to come to attend meditation and satsang shivirs of Ācharyagüru ji. Most were invitational. I had the honour of attending one such shivir and serving in satsang kendra. We used to have bhajans, chanting, meditation, discourses and in the night it was good to sit at the feet of Ācharyagüru ji near the Mandakini River at Anusuya ashram. In the early morning we heard lot of commotion, one of the disciple who had recently joined was caught stealing. Ācharyagüru ji smiled and asked others to leave him. In the evening again the same person was caught stealing and everyone wanted to dismiss the person, Ācharyagüru ji again smiled and indicated to leave the person. Maybe it was motivation for the person that He is being forgiven every time, he again was caught next day and now everyone said that they would leave the satsang and meditation camp if the thief remained. Ācharyagüru ji was literally gheroed (encircled).Ācharyagüru ji smiled again and said “You all people consider yourself intelligent, awakened and also know the difference between right and wrong. The problem here is also similar except that this person does not know the difference between right and wrong. All of have an option of redemption and repentance but this person will keep suffering the fate every time due to his ignorance. I can teach him the way of differentiating between right and wrong, if he wishes to learn or he has an option of leaving and continuing on the path of doing wrong. On my own I shall never ask one to go, if by action, words or deeds he shows his reluctance to stay and learn then he can move, I shall be the last person to stop him’. I was watching the transformation happening within the person and the way he cried with all heart and soul in place even moved people around. He became Swami Advitiyananda ji a divine soul who had taken Sampoorna Sanyasa diksha and now resides in Benaras near Chausathi Ghat.
